4/30/2023 0 Comments Two men and a truck![]() Now I'm 3 weeks from moving to Florida with a busted bumper. It's been a week and despite my sending email/text and leaving a vm for he, and the owner, I've been Ghosted. I provided a very reasonable quote the following day, the rep said he'd arrange a rental and we'd get on it ASAP. He asked for me to get a quote and letting them pay for it rather than going to insurance - I told him I would but that time was a major factor since I'm moving out of Austin in a very short time. Wait nearly an hour for the quality control person to arrive, but again, traffic is what it is. Visible bumper damage but could have been far worse. These are both things I'd look for in a mover and if you agree, look elsewhere.Ī bit over a week ago, while stopped at a red light, one of their trucks bumped me from behind, not a crash - a simple slip of his foot off the break but truck vrs car and I lose. My experience with Two men and a truck was as an innocent bystander but their lack of communication and accountability is relevant regardless of your dealings with them. I will be expecting a response on this matter immediately. ![]() This estimate clearly states what needed to be brought to pack my belongings. When they said they had everything out of their truck they still had items that they handed me. No little stickers to say what the item is and annotated to make sure that they unpacked everything. ![]() Also there was no accountability as far as what was packed. I am retired US Army and have moved more then the fingers on my hand and this has got to be the worst move I have ever been subjected to. So right now I have unlabeled boxes, table side lamps that should have been wrapped, and have no idea what is in my boxes once I finally move to my house. They used the box but half the styrofoam to securely store a TV was left to the side. I have a 65" tv that I kept the original box for when I moved. When storing my dishes I inquired about wrapping them and I was given the "trust me, they will be fine!" Also I kept putting stuff that needed to be stored next to big items and they, the movers, kept moving it away and put in my pile that was staying on the premise. They ended up using all my boxes and thank goodness I bought tape or else they would not have any. I, on the previous night before my move I went and purchased boxes, to help alleviate some costs. They also did not have any markers to label what was in the box and whether or not that it was fragile. ![]() They also didi not have any paper to wrap my dishes and glass pot lids. They then said that they were unaware that they were going to need boxes. They promptly showed up at my door and I showed them what needed to be moved. ![]()
